Since nobody has commented on this Caching Crew idea for a while, I have started my own. I am going ahead with the Sun Valley Parkway Run. I have contacted other geo-cachers and they are committed. The caching team will meet at 6:30am on Friday 11/27/09 at N 33° 38.321 W 112° 27.249. This is a parking lot Near Bell Rd and Cotton Lane. All are invited. We plan on making the 100 cache in a day mark.

That's an awesome idea - I have completely cleared out that area so I won't be joining you guys but I want to hear all about your adventures and post pictures!

My caching crew has just gone haywire! While I was at my mom's this weekend for our early Thankgiving dinner i got a ton of emails on my phone, but couldn't reply to them. Sean never told me trying to find a central location could be so darned hard. Is it okay if I let them all know about the SVP run, as well as what area I decide to do, so they have options? It seems most of the people want to do the Gilbert/Chandler area, which is a good idea EXCEPT as of last weekened I have most of it cleared out too! UGH! I know I've got to start getting farther away from home now to find patches of caches but I'm okay with it!!!

For my crew, I'm seriously leaning towards Scottsdale. I'm about ready to just pick a cache and say okay here's starting point, everyone that wants to come meet here at whatever time, hopefully that doesn't ruffle any feathers but it's just impossible to find an area that EVERYONE wants to do, know what I mean?

Tara, Mike and I have decided to hit Scottsdale too. We are looking at Rio Verde power trail and a few others on both the west and east ends of it. (Thiswill give you an idea of what I mean.)With a stop at pinnacle peak for hamburgers at the end of the day. We figure we can miss most of the bad traffic etc. We hadnt set any official time or anything. The cold is stirring up my arthritis something fierce these past couple of weeks so I am not sure how long I will last.

Unreliable car atm, gonna cancel my trip. I do not have an ultimate caching mobile.

Yes, anyone can join in the SVP run. They should e-mail me at b.b.wolf@cox.net to RSVP. We are doing car-pooling as well. I have a few seats left in the mini-van.

Good luck on your Scottsdale run!

Our Black Friday caching Team on the Sun Valley Parkway Went Fantastic. :wave02:
The total finds for the day were 119 with only 1 DNF! :w00t:
This was completed in 10.5 hours! :w00t:
Tempe Turners and AZ Chemistry Cachers retired for the day after hitting the 101th cache mark (everyone had tired feet by then)
DBJ59, a first time geocacher, joined us when the run was over half down, still claimed 52 finds,
B.B.Wolf and Mike JF57 hung out the full run for 119 finds.
All in all a great day!! :pty01: :pty01:

My bfcc of just us hit Rio Verde and a few other caches. Total, 33 finds (thats a new record for us), some DNFs (not sure how many), 5 cool sig items, meeting another caching team and hamburgers at Pinnacle Peak Patio. We ended up at the same few caches for a bit. All in all, a fun day.

(One of our highlights. There was this woodpecker on a saguaro that made us laugh. Turns out the saguaro was a cell tower. Felt sorry for the bird.)
