1) Garmin
Brand GPS Receivers
a)
Installation to
Mapsource (on a PC)
i)
Download and extract
the "Mapsource Installation
File".
ii)
Open the file
"setup.exe" contained in the ZIP file and follow the instruction for
installation.
iii)
Open Mapsource.
In the Map selection tab in the upper left corner, click on the pull down arrow
and select "Calgary Area Trail Maps". This will bring up a
single map with all of the trail information.
iv)
Choose this map and
any other maps that you require in the normal fashion and download then to your
GPSr as normal. The trail map should show up on top of any other maps
that are loaded to your unit.
b) Installation to Mapsource (on a MAC)
i)
Download and extract
the "MAC
verison Mapsource Installation File".
ii)
Follow the instruction
from Garmin on installing to your computer: http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/MapSource_MigratingGarminMapProductsfromWindowstoMacComputers.pdf
c)
Direct
Installation to the GPSr
i)
Download and extract the "Base Map
Files".
ii)
Download and install
"IMG2GPS" from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mdipol/img2gps/.
iii)
Follow the instruction
for IMG2GPS program to upload the map file "09999991.img" and
whatever other files you desire to your GPSr.
2) Magellan Brand GPS Receivers *** The
Magellan Maps are BETA Versions ***

a)
Installation to
Magellan Explorist Receivers
i)
Download and extract
the "Magellan
Map File" from the link above and unzip the CAC.IMI file.
ii)
Copy the CAC.IMI file
to the SD card on the unit via a card reader or through the USB Mass Transfer
mode on the GPS.
b)
Installation to
Magellan Receivers (Not Explorist Models)
i)
Download and extract
the "Magellan Map File" from the
link above and unzip the “&CAC.IMG” file.
ii)
Download and extract
"uploadGPSserial.zip".
iii)
Run
uploadGPSserial.exe and upload the map file downloaded in step i). Alternatively, copy the file to the SD card
using a card reader.
